Philippe Melka

Winemaker

Philippe Melka has honed his craft while working on some of the most distinctive and cherished soils on the planet, among the vines in Italy, Western Australia, and the Napa Valley. He learned from the best of the best, working at Château Cheval Blanc, Petrus, and Château Haut-Brion. The delicate balance between tradition and innovation keeps a good winemaker’s palate fresh, and Amlés is where Philippe’s extraordinary talent was given free rein.

Maayan Koschitzky

Winemaker

Maayan Koschitzky made wine in his native Israel for more than half a decade before he headed to the U.S. in 2011 and quickly became a rising star among the most formidable names in Napa. A natural creative partner to Philippe, together they create wines that are close to the land and that are defined by their ability to create a sense of place from the moment they are uncorked.

Ernst Loosen

Ernst Loosen, one the most iconic and influential winemakers in the world, whose family-owned winery has been the home of the world’s pre-eminent Riesling for over 200 years, has developed a Riesling that is a natural fit for the Amlés family. Dr. Loosen’s dedication to the art of winemaking rooted in his deep and lifelong relationship with the region, yields a quality wine of uncompromising excellence.

Bryan Weil

Winemaker

Bryan Weil‘s winemaking journey is a fusion of scientific acumen and culinary passion. His Oregon roots and education at Oregon State University in Enology and Viticulture have equipped him with an innate understanding of the complexities of Pinot Noir. His global experience, spanning three continents, informs his approach, allowing him to capture the essence of Oregon’s terroir in every bottle.

Tresider Burns

Winemaker

From tech to terroir, Oregon’s own Tresider Burns found his calling in the vines. At Oregon State University, his passion for winemaking took root. With a foundation built at Lemelson Vineyards and refined under Robert Brittan, his craft developed with a deep passion for Oregon’s signature grape at White Rose Estate since 2019.

Artist

Reflectionist artist JD Miller’s style of painting is rooted in the law of attraction; the belief that by focusing on positive experiences, you bring positive experiences into your life in turn. His canvases are born of a powerful energy: a layering of paint and textures, old tradition and new modern styling, blended perfectly. JD’s art is a visual representation of everything we want the grapes to say each time a glass is poured.

Sharon Virts

Much like the characters in her novels, the depth of Sharon Virts’ canvases reflect the mood and the personality of the landscapes and the wildlife she paints. Her art is bold, textured, and vibrant with color, her love of nature and its bounty makes her artistry a natural collaborator to express the feelings evoked by Amlés wine.

Ron Rundo is a visionary artist with a distinctive and metaphorical style akin to the old masters’ traditions. he has developed a broad palette of expertise in all forms of visual expression including sculpture, oil on canvas, watercolor and mixed media. In all his work, he strives to enhance and heighten the beauty found in the ordinary and elevate it to extraordinary by creating works of art that challenge the viewer to engage in inner scrutiny.

Scott Miller

Scott Miller made his living in the competitive world of technology, found himself on an unexpected adventure ushered in by the restoration of Selma Mansion, a long-abandoned piece of history in Loudoun County. The rebirth of the house itself inspired him to create a wine that both reflected the storied history of winemaking while focusing on the opportunities some of the finest vineyards the world have to offer.

With over thirty years in the hospitality industry, Mark Gunn has distinguished himself through his commitment to enhancing the wine and dining experience.
