2018 Vintage Tasting Notes

2018 Vintage Tasting Notes

This wine has the seduction and purity reminiscent of a great left bank Bordeaux vintage. Sourcing from three distinct sites, the wine displays the diversity of soils from some of Napa’s most iconic locations. Aromas of Asian spices, vanilla bean and savory undertones lead to a cascade of flavors such as mocha and blackberries. The mouthfeel is plush and dense with a deeply textured fullness. The tannins are firm, but over time in the glass, give way to an interwoven polish. The balance is exquisite, providing a sense of instant pleasure with a refined persistence in the finish.

This 2018 was aged in the French tradition for 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels and was bottled in June 2020.<br>
